 I made these cards for the MaF swap because my partner likes Japanese culture and imagery. I ended up having to buy a bunch of cards to get the shimmer "gold" background but I think the end result was pretty. I made a couple extra sets (I have two more sets to make) to send out to friends and family that still use the snail mail.
 Here are the two cards together...

 The red one...

 and the pink one...

and just because - one with the envelope.


 Hope you like them. They were my first cards. I am terrible at embellishing so I am starting slow. I bought some tiny brads to put on the pink one but chickened out.  Undecided  Maybe next time. I am hoping to be able to make my sister a bunch of random cards for Christmas so this will be the start of her set!

They are both beautiful.

I think the red and green one has wonderful composition and the colors work very well. Good choice putting it onto that strip of green paper. It really makes everything pop and is very vibrant.

The pink one is very pretty too, but I don't think it has the same effect the other has. I think it is because there is so much color at the bottom in the fan and not much to draw the eye back up. I'm in love with that little shoulder though!

 I agree. The pink one needs something but I am so timid with embellishments and what not I couldn't figure out what.
