I finished and gifted this yesterday.

Front

Back

It was fun to make but I made a pretty big rookie mistake.  I didn't wash the backing fabric first.  I thought it would take on a nice vintage-y feel but it shrank A LOT!  The denim side is pretty dang bumpy now but it's still functional.

Bumpy fabric

I really enjoy hand quilting more than I ever would have thought.

It looks great! Wow, I'm amazed you were able to hand quilt denim, awesome! I never pre-wash my quilting fabrics, so they're all shrinking together, so I would totally make that same mistake if I was using jeans on the front.

I agree. I get to dang impatient to prewash anything....ha! I never would have thought to upcycle jeans to make a blanket...what a nifty idea!
