I was lucky enough to get a space in the Wicked matchbox Swap, orged by the ever excellent tag team of cackle and rackycoo.  And then I was lucky enough to get teamed up with thisbirdsabsurd, so I figured I could do what ever my mind fell upon.  One of her themes was bears.  Bears are symbolic for me, so I was drawn to working with that.  Glow Fimo was the obvious choice for me...I just love the stuff Grin

I made a matchbox that was based on a matchbox, cut down the middle then stacked, so it's 1/2 as wide and twice as tall.  I made 2 boxes so i would have one to work on, and one painted one to glue the pieces on to.  I made each tooth separately, and baked and stained them first.  The purple was not as bright in real life as they are in the photos.  I used some gold paint to highlight a few.  I then made the lower jaw and pushed those teeth into place and bake again.  I baked the whole thing 5 different times, just adding pieces onto the test box as I went.  There is a metal hinge to give stability.

I stuffed the matchbox with all kinds of thing's the poor bear was forced to eat as part of the binding ritual.  You see, the story kept growing in my head.  Eventually I "found" this little oddity while out walking the dog.  But poor Cosmo got his hate on for the bear skull and I had to get rid of it.  In researching it before I sent it off, I learned that a wizard had bound this skull as a control object for the spirit grizzly.  So the things inside have to be used by thisbirdsabsurd to release the bear spirit.

There's remains of a human in there....heart, eyes, leg bone, skull, flip flops, and a gun.  Several different kinds of domesticated animals, including a compleat bee hive and 13 butterflies, were also discovered. The oddest spell ingredients are the twin stars, swirling vortex and birds heart.  There was also a strange glowing worm involved (the string of beads glow in the dark).  I though I had taken a pic of the skull glowing but sadly I didn't..

It was a super fun swap with a great group of very talented swappers and I feel lucky to have been a part.
  Thanks for looking Grin

That is so utterly delightfully creepy. And while I admire it, I'm just a little relieved that it's spookiness is far away from me, in thisbird's house. Cheesy

Great job, suereal! You are so danged creative.
