It's a wonderful gift (glad you get to continue enjoying it too)

Sometimes you get to change the world, and other times the world changes you.

Currently drowning in the sea called PhD.

Interested in swapping for I-Spy Quilt Squares and Scraps.

I can't count how many times I've read all four as "brain candy." And I love maps! I wish I had thought of this! Husband is a lucky fellow and your gifted!

Regarding map versions, Christopher Tolkien redrew his map in the 70's. So there are at least two versions. I got my 1st copy of The Hobbit in 1989 or so, and I recall that copy had forwards with at least one addressing map versions and corrections. The linked article notes J.R.R Tolkien often gave conflicting descriptions of Middle Earth.
