i bought 3 sweatshirts (pink, purple and teal) at the thrift store near my house.  the total price was $5.60.  here is a pic of 2 of the sweatshirts (sorry, i cut the other one before i took the picture, but i think you can imagine what it looked like).


i cut the pink one into a halter style and used the remaining fabric from the sleeves to make a skirt and i surged all the edges.  the sweatshirt was really big, so i also took it in at the sides so it was more form-fitting.  then i cut leave-like shapes out of the purple and teal sweatshirts and surged the edges.  i sewed them down, overlapping some from one point on my left hip.  the pin is a crochet flower pin i already had.

Wow!!!  That's so pretty! I never wear sweatshirts because they make me look huge, but your invention is HOTT!
