I made this stop-motion animation with paper cut-outs! I'm really proud of it. I've never done any sort of animation before this, but I love making stuff out of paper, so I wanted to try. I used different kinds of paper for more of and arts and crafts look-- notebook paper, magazine text, card stock and even some brown bag paper.

I can't figure out how to embed the video on the post, so here's the youtube link-- http://youtu.be/EPWvMOGtUDg

How I made it: I set up a video camera and light over my paper, then I used a free demo version of iStop-motion to capture the footage. How it works is you move the paper cut-outs just a little bit, then press the space bar to take a picture of it. Then you move it a little more for the next frame and on and on. It takes a long time-- this 2 minute animation took me 6 hours! But it was really fun! I definitely want to make more, with different kinds of paper and different styles and stuff.

(PS, If anyone knows how to embed the video on this post, please share. That way people don't have to go to a new page in order to watch it. Thanks!)

What a great video! I can imagine all the work that went into that- omg that's a lot of frames! I loved it and so did my 4 yr old who watched it with me  Smiley he said- "they're fighting for that heart 'cause they both need love!"

oh and if you don't want to buy istop-motion when your trial is over check out framebyframe. It's free- I have it and I love it  Smiley

Very clever! My favorite part was the bird's nest scene.

Good job! I'll look forward to seeing more of your work.
