So, as we live in a rental with no shade in the blazing hot back yard, we bought a standard gazebo. I looked at outdoor furniture, and my cheap little soul rebelled at shelling out so much for stuff the kids would climb all over. I got a friend from work to drive me in his truck, and we picked up pallets from the industrial area in town. I started to paint them white and got tired. So I just nailed them in an "L" shape, and good enough. I went to Fabricland when they were having a huge(ish) sale, and bought some grey outdoor fabric. I used old blankets to put in them, made some pillows, and it's awesome. The kids can be kids, no worries about keeping them off the furniture. In total, the furniture (and white sheers/curtains from Sears and Jysk) cost me less than $75.

Looks fantastic! I think white pallets would've benefited the look, but it's great either way! Unique idea!

Oh, we'll be painting them as the summer continues, as I agree that white paint will spruce them up. My kid can help - which I'm sure will thrill her to death.
