We missed last week so I'm hoping there's more to share this week!
I finished this last Friday. it's ~140 yards of wool, N-plied. I got he fiber from Craftaddiction for the giveaway in the March (?) Pinterest swap. After spinning it reminds me of Valentine's day for some reason. Didn't get that vibe before I spun it but hey, the joy of spinning, right?

very pretty! i just finished making a pvc pipe spinning wheel, so I'm hoping to get some practice in so I can post on a Fiber Friday. It's always so inspiring to see the other yumminess of other peoples' spinning.

It definitely has a Valentines feel -- all the pinks and reds.  Gorgeous.

I did a little bit of spinning this week too, after having taken a break from it for a while.  I got a ton of white fibre for Christmas to dye and spin up, and I'm mostly dividing it up into small portions and making a bunch of mini-skeins.  Here's the one I did this week:

oooo, love the blues and browns together. always a great color combo. Congrats on making a PVC wheel Myrdda! I made one and I love it, but if all goes well i'll be going to check out an official made-out-of-wood spinning wheel tomorrow that hopefully i can come home with! lol. all i have to do is convince the hubby how badly i need it.

I dyed it with Logwood, Alum as a mordant.  I think if I'd have waited to put the extra bag of wool into the dye pot, it would have come out darker.

And I spun this up, it's only 290 yards. And it weighs 12.6 oz...  It's going to make someone a very nice toque.

Good luck convincing the hubby you need an "official" wheel!  I sure hope he goes for it!  It'll be nice to have options, when it comes to using a wheel.  What wheel are you thinking of, Rodelphia?

it was an antique one that a friend saw in a shop and told me about. we went to look at it today and it was missing so many parts that it wasn't worth what they were asking for it. think i might save some money and get a newer one. i'm thinking i might go with Heavenly Handspinning, but i can't decide which wheel i like best.

Awe! that's to bad, Rodelphia!  I'm sure you will either find one, or have enough saved up soon enough for one.  Keep your eye on kbbspin.org, there are a lot of wheels on there.  It's a bit tricky (I find, anyway) to figure out which is which, and what pictures belong to what, but still worth looking through
