Hi jexxican and others. I am thinking of joining this swap, but just had a few questions I don't think we're answered int the FaQ.
If you make a claim do you have to be specific...like can I claim someone and say "something from her jewellery board",  or do I have to say. "owl scrabble tile necklace?"

Either way works for me. I was claimed today already for a general surprise, so you could do a board specific surprise, or whatever. I think the biggest thing would be whether or not the person being claimed is OK with it. Any other questions feel free to ask here or even shoot me a PM. I'm always here.

And actually, on that note, I might not be on as much during the end of the month. We're tripping to the CO RenFest for my birthday! Woot! So just a heads up since we don't have a co-org this month, I'll always be reachable but from the 22nd on it might be a day or 2 before I can update/respond to stuff.

So for some reason I am totally not getting psyched about this swap this month. What is up? I am so unmotivated and uninspired for you guys. What can we do to make this swap better, y'all? Any thoughts? Whadya want?

I've been creeping on this swap for a while.... I think I might finally be motivated enough to join!

I'm pretty pumped about it too!  I already finished spectrumsparksie's claim, but figuring out how to package it so that it makes it safely to Australia is going to be the challenge!  My post office basically told me that they can slap a fragile label on it, but it doesn't really do much; it's all about how you package it.  Then I've got a claim I can make for almost everybody else, I just have to decide which to do next.   

I find that the best swaps have a really active discussion.  So for this one, maybe we could ask about things that we know we can do, but that no one seems to have pinned, or what we really like to make and maybe that will spark something with someone else, etc. We could always try to "advertise" for more people (hence more inspiration), but sometimes that turns people off more than encouraging them.  That said, I don't think it really NEEDS anything, it's a pretty awesome swap as is! It's early in the month, hopefully it will take off soon.
