"Come One, Come All..." This lovely Mini Art Quilt was made for the fabulous Dearbluebird in the latest round of MAQ! One of her themes to select from was Side Show acts like the Strong Man and Tattoo'd Lady.... I found the Strong Man to be more of my liking. She had a more natural tones room and this was born! This is the first in a series of Side Show art quilts. I am currently working on one for myself that I will post upon finishing up this coming week!

I found pictures online of original sideshow acts from the early 1900's. I then printed them onto fabric and embellished them lightly with colored pencils. I made some log cabin squares and attached them all together. I then Freezer Paper stenciled the word "Circus" in the center and finished the quilt before attaching my felt Strong Man.

Here is a completed Photo:

Sorry I didn't take the straightest photos!

Here is after the top was pieced and stenciled:

This is a closeup of my Strong Man:

Here is a picture of the completed back:

And of course a closeup of my Label:

I really hope you enjoy this. It truly was a labor of love! Hence why I am making a second one that is pretty different for myself! I hope you like this one and come back in a week for the second! And also sign up for the next round of mini art quilts!

I said it in/at/on (hahaha, choose whatever is the right one) the MAQ-gallery board: you are such a great quilter!

Although not really my kind of theme, it is very nice, well chosen and just lots of fun!
Can't wait to see the other MAQ too!

Great label at the backside too!
I'm glad to remembered to add my name and MAQ at the backside.
If I continue making MAQ, I want some sort of easy way to make a label. I'm not very good at embroidery and my machine can't embroider.

But anyway, this rocks CMB!!  Cheesy
