Here are a few marionettes I have made over the last few months Smiley

Hope you all enjoy!  The humans are hand carved from bass wood and the rest are sculpey clay (as I no longer have access to a shop over the summer and the other people in my apartment complex did not like the sound of the dremel and chisel at 3am Tongue)

They are so much fun to make

Finally, here is a really poor quality image of a lot of mini marionettes I made for an art in the street even the other week!

Wow! Those are so cool. That deer is so graceful looking, I love it! Great job!

Gorgeous! Does this cast of characters all belong to one performance? So many possible stories they could inspire. Somehow, it seems like adding a deer to a marionette show would bump up the oddity level in a delightful way...All the other characters are bouncing around doing what they do, and then along comes a deer through the middle of everything, the only one of them who isn't bipedal, and it says, "___[something really funny here]____."  Grin

I'm living/working in Yosemite Nat'l Park til further notice! Blogging about it here. No swapping for me, and minimal crafting time, for the coming months. Almost done with library school! That sums things up for now.

Those are wonderful!
How long do they usually take you to make?

I adore that deer, he looks very lifelike!

Looking to de-stash cross stitch magazines, particularly Cross Stitch Gold or New Stitches?  Please drop me a line!  I'd love to swap or buy some missing from my library!

All of these are AMAZING! Also, seeing them en masse like this makes them SO impressive as a collection. Every one is so detailed and lifelike... What fantastic works of art!
