I decided to randomly made my best friend some magnets for her fridge with her last name on them.  I happened to have some wooden discs laying around, so I grabbed those and started crafting!

I started by painting the edges and most of the top with white acrylic paint.  After that dried, I drew black lines on the sides using Elmer's Painters paint pens.  I then cut circles out of an old and mangled book (The Hobbit) and distressed the edges with Tim Holtz Walnut Distress Ink Pad and more paint pen.  Then I wrote on the letter with the pain pen, let it dry, applied mod podge to the back of the circle and stuck it on.  After it dried, I added a couple coats of mod podge on top.  I put on a couple magnets to the back of each circle with Gorilla Glue.

Here they are on my fridge:

And some upclose shots, and one that shows the back of one:

Thanks for looking!

Very cute idea!   And can I say I'm super impressed that your N is so perfectly straight?
