So, I was so thrilled with how my last sunglass refashion turned out that I thought I would try my hand at another one.  As mentioned in my previous post, I bought several sunglasses at Dollar General for (gasp!) a dollar a piece.

You will need:

    Scrap fabric
    Hot glue gun

After popping out the lens, I glued the frame of the glasses to the back of the fabric scrap.  I cut the material around the frame leaving about a quarter of an inch.  I folded down the material and then hot-glued it to the back of the frame. I cut out the material where the lens belongs. I then popped the lenses back in which held the material down so I didn't have to glue it.  You can either stop here and leave the earpieces the original color or you can cover the earpieces with fabric.  It looks good both ways but I chose to go all the way and cover everything with fabric.

They look really 80's retro- funky!

Ha Ha, these are great.  I want a bunch in different colours for every outfit for summer.

Very cool idea. I can think of a few people I know who would love these!
