question is, how do i go about actually making it? i wanted to make a braided rag rug, but how would i do the corner?

keep in mind its a rug, so i dont want layers of stacked fabric, like a mat. i want something relatively ruggy.

Scrappy latchhook? Cut the fabric (teeshirt fabric works best) into about 3" x 1" lengths. Then get some of the latchhook backing (it looks like a square grid) and latchhook the scraps through and tie them off at the top.

You can cut the backing to whatever size and shape you want, and arrange the teeshirt bits into a pattern.
