Willing to personal swap for art of my doggies!

I have been looking at other ideas for making personalized labels for projects lately and this one came to me last night, as a cheap, relatively easy option.  I tried it once so far and it seems to be working, so I thought I would share it.

I printed directly onto fusible interfacing, backed with paper, on a laser printer.  Cut out the labels and iron onto the project.  It is not meant to be permanent, but should last a couple of washes, and not run, and should work for any flat surface that could be ironed.

Here is one I tried on the inside of a small Christmas bag I made.

Here they are printed out on the interfacing, still attached to the paper backing.

Anyways, just thought I would share, especially as this is potentially a cheap, relatively simple way of designing and making some personal labels for projects without too many steps.  I wrote out a bit of an outline as to how I did it on my blog.

I hope this may be helpful to some.  If anyone has other ideas, please share.

Such a fun and easy idea. I've been looking for better ways to label sewing projects too. Thanks for sharing!

Onyxnox - here is my take on making labels: http://faithepp.blogspot.com/2011/05/how-to-make-your-own-product-labels.html.

You can read Craftster responses and updates - http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=231400.0. I have since changed the font on my labels (I should update my blog). Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for sharing.  That was just my quickie take on it, and when I get a chance, I will definitely work on something more to my liking.
