As a (late!) Motherís Day gift for my mom, I wanted to do something in memory of her mom, so I took an old black and white photo of my grandma, printed it on a fabric sheet, and jazzed it up a bit with beads, fabric, and paint. I used make-up for the skin, which worked surprisingly well. I had to lighten the original photo a bit though, so I wasn't painting over dark grey for the skin.

I used metallic thread for the necklace and bracelet, and seed beads for her earrings and bodice detail, and pressed flowers for her flower arrangement. I might've gone overboard a little with the skirt, but she can trim it if she wants to :p

I havenít mailed it to my mom yet, but Iím super excited for her to get it!  Iím also excited to try adding fabric and colorful details to other old pics.

Thanks for looking--c&c welcome Smiley
