I saw this sweater and fell in love immediately. Now, I'm not one for tight fitting things so I made my actual size, not a size smaller. I'm chunky, and so was the yarn lol.

I love how the owls started to appear when I began following the chart, I love the k2p2 ribbing and how it actually not only gives the garment shape, it's a feature too. I eve love that I made the sleeves too long. I like them like that. I'm 4ft 8in tall so having long sleeves is usual for me, a sweater that fits on the arms doesn't feel right!

I love the painted wood buttons (handwash only, like I'd ever machine this baby after all that work!!), I love the colour even though I could have sworn I ordered a grassy green from ebay... I can even cope with the fact that, since wet blocking it, it kinda smells like wet dog.

whatever. This sweater rocks, the pattern rocks. it's taken me 3 weeks of hard work and I'm so immensely proud of it.

here's some action shots, poses chosen by my 6 year old photographer.

Chilling.

ok. not so much chilling. More boiling in fact. It's about 32 F (26 C) here today.

standing.

("please tell me this is the last one, I'm sure we have enough. seriously. I admire your dedication Sophie but I am BOILING! dogs die in hot cars, mummies die in hot sweaters!")

my spare buttons, sewn on the inside of the bottom hem. (because I know I'm a klutz and will lose some!)

finally, omg they're just so fricking cute. My Owls.

and a linkiedoodle to the pattern purchase page.

once I have finished some socks for my dearest minime, she'll be getting the "Owlet" because a good friend gave me loads of free chunky yarn. WHOOP!!

lol! I'm still trying to get my mind around how you "embedded" those owls. (From someone who doesn't knit). I think they are adorable. Love those buttons!!!

The fit is great and I just ADORE that every owl has different buttons for it's eyes!
