So while visiting a family friend today I got  about twenty rolls of I guess they are fabric ends (maybe?).  They are mennonitte and got them from a local jersey shop. They were heading to the dumpster if my friends hadn't gotten ahold of them. Most of the rolls are larger then my hand and cut into a strip about 1-2 inches wide. They are ribbed and don't coil like T-shirt yarn does.

I was thinking I could maybe crochet or braid them into rugs but was looking for more ideas.
I also thought of dog toys, plant ties, filling for pet beds (that's one thing they used it for) and they made balls out of it for a game they play. Any ideas are appreciated, I want to pick up more since its free but need solid ideas before I take up valuable square footage in my tiny little place.

They have a few hundred rolls of this stuff, and need to get rid of it ASAP. They also have massive amounts of denim and something that sounded like cambray (possibly spelled wrong lol) for free so that could be used too.

Also if any one is interested in any I'd be more then willing to gather and mail some out to anyone if you cover shipping. I don't want to see this stuff end up in a landfill with so much potential.

I think you live fairly close to me. There are a couple of arts and craft recycle places in Lebanon and Harrisburg that take that sort of stuff.. Can the stuff be used for binding, like around small pouches? Apron binding?

I know of one in Ephrata (about twenty minutes from  me), I will have to look into Lebanon and Harrisburg.

It feels a bit thin to me for binding, I'm so bad w fabric identification it kind of feels like the thin material of "wife beater" tank tops. but i also have no idea how to sew for real so it might be perfect lol ( i own a sewing machine but i cant sew without it tangling everytime  Roll Eyes )

Great score!

Too bad I'm in Belgium... Shipping would cost a fortune.
And I have to admit that my supplies warehouse is full.
