I am fairly new to sewing, but I do want to make my own yoga/gaucho pants for the dance classes that I take. I saw a tutorial on threadbangers that I thought was decent/doable. I just don't know where I can get tracing paper. I looked at Joann's last week, but all they had was small stuff - nothing big enough for a pair of pants. Do you buy yours at a brick and mortar store or online?
Thanks!

I've bought 18"x24" at a crafting store before, though I can't remember which one. Sorry. I recommend Dick Blick, either in store or online for anything you can't find in stores. Dick Blick Tracing Paper

Also, try looking for newsprint as well, I would use that for patterning over tracing paper, personally, cheaper & I like the weight better than tracing paper. So far as large format goes, masking tape & multiple pieces works just as well. Smiley

Thanks so much! I think we have a Dick Blick store close by. That name always makes me laugh.  Cheesy

As Painted Sparrow said, you don't necessarily need pattern paper. I used to use kitchen paper but I'd have to stick two long pieces together to get the width. Now I buy wide brown paper on a roll because I don't want to have to bother sticking bits together. Any paper will do.
