Details of swap:
In the style of all ongoing swaps, the ongoing inchie swap was first launched during the holiday season of 2011.  We are trying to hold one every month and a half, with a month or so layover.

For anyone who is not sure what and inchie is or how to go about making one, here is a great post on the papercraft forums by phizzychick (who makes amazing inchies!) http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=303188.0

You will need to make a list of at least 8 themes for people to choose from. I will put up my list first and will wrap up the swap by making the last claim. Once you claim you will need to craft and send 8 inchies of the chosen theme and send them within 2 weeks of the claim date.

Everyone is encouraged to join.  If you can contain your art to a square of 1 inch, you can make an inchie!  With that said, please make your inchies with love and care.  Whether you paint, print, stamp, color, draw, ink or embellish, spend a bit of time and energy making the inchies you send to the best of your ability.  Everyone you claim should receive inchies you are proud to have made and would love to recieve.  They are a lot of fun, and a great way to experiment with the inchie techniques, if you are unsure.

Friends of craftster will be allowed 5 claims, people who have completed one swap or more may make 3 claims and new swappers may claim once, and 3 times once the first claim has been recieved. Once these claims have been received, you may claim again. You can make as many (or as few) claims as you want throughout the duration of the swap as long as you never go over your allowed amount of outstanding claims. (An outstanding claim is a set of inchies that has not been received; when that set is received your number of outstanding claims goes down leaving you open to claim again.)

Making a claim:
When you make a claim please use the following layout in the swap forum:

Send by Feb. 20
kimchery to anothercraftster for seasons

My list is first up, I will start and Finish the swap Smiley

Hi all inchiers Im Elaine and I live in Rural NSW, Australia. Im putting together an inchie frame that is simply black and white (or greyscale, but no colour at all). So if you could keep all of your inchies just Black and white, it would be much appreciated. 3D elements are fine, I prefer to recieve individual inchies rather than ones that go together to form a bigger picture. A wise swapper (smmarrt) once said to me Id prefer a badly hand drawn inchie to one covered in stickers and I tend to agree Wink

Themes:
1. Artist choice go on have fun, I love to see what people choose to draw (in black and white)
2. Celtic knots / pictish symbols or runes (in black and white)
3. Silhouettes of women - faces, hair, pregnancy, breastfeeding, bodies etc. (not sexually explicit please - but tasteful nudity is all good) (in black and white)
4. Nature - trees, flowers, leaves, vegetables etc (in black and white)
5. Zentangles (in black and white)
6. Music (in black and white)
7. Time (in black and white)
8. Farm (in black and white)
9. Finger prints (in black and white)
10. Steam Punk - (in black and white)
11. Non-paper - (in black and white)
12. Buttons - (in black and white)
13. Flowers - (in black and white)
14. Containing Crochet or knitted elements - (in black and white)

Check out my inch-spiration pintrest board for more ideas

Please could you put your Username and your inchie creation date on the back of each inchie. Thank you.

THIS PAGE IS FOR CLAIMS ONLY - PLEASE USE Discussion and gallery THREAD FOR ALL CHAT AND PHOTOS. THANK YOU

CLAIMS ARE NOW OPEN - claim until 30th June 2012

I am excited to claim Nilmerg for her fingerprints and/or nature theme
This makes me (1,0,0)
Due June 14th

Hi, Im Laura. I live in SE Ohio, but I am from Anchorage Alaska and this reflects a lot in my personal taste. I am 31 years old, married almost 9 years to my High School Sweetheart and stay at home mom to our two beautiful children.

Please, I ask my inchies come from a smoke-free home. I have allergies! I am obsessed with the Big Bang Theory (Leanord is my favorite!) and Alaska themes, espeically the mountains and animals.  I would ask for no nudity/profanity/vulgarity.  I am ok with cutesy. I like earthy tones the best..greens, browns, teal, light purple, orange (like burnt orange), yellow. I wouldnt like a lot of red or pink, but they make ok accent colors.

Any questions, just ask! Heres my themes:

Big Bang Theory (Leonard is my favorite!)
Criminal Minds
Alaska (scenery, animals, anchorage inspired)
Inspiring phrases from my Lets Consider This Pinterest board
Tinkerbell
Superheroes (Batman, Superman, Avengers, etc)
Pirate (for my young son--treasure box, treasure map, pirate---kid-like, not scary!)
Animals: penguin, manatee, dolphin, turtles, giraffe, anything zoo related
Butterflies, dragonflies
Dinosaurs (triceratops is my sons favorite)
Super Mario
Harry Potter
Hunger Games
(My patronus is a mockingjay)
Books (I love romantic thrillers...Allison Brennan, Lisa Gardner, Karen Rose, etc)
Anything off my Pinterest boards (except my Ive made board, or Ive received board)
I am happy with your interpretation of my pins unless Ive said otherwise.

I claim johnson.mom2two for the Harry Potter theme.

This makes me (1,0,0)
due June 15th (I think?)

Hi, I'm Kaz!  I'm 32 and live in my tiny condo with my two bunnies in Maryland, USA.  To fund my crafting, I teach 8th grade Language Arts and Social Studies, and I love it!  I'm really looking forward to summer break so I can craft a lot. Smiley  I'm with nilmerg - I'd prefer a badly hand drawn inchie than one just covered in stickers.  I like most colors, though I'm not especially fond of neons or pastels.  Check out my profile for what colors my house is, if you want to coordinate. Smiley  Please no adult/nudity/swearing on my inchies.  Thank you!

My themes are ...

Trees
Green
U.S. History
Gardening
Doors and Windows
Grammar (preferably good grammar!)
Beach/Sea theme
Maryland (crabs, Chesapeake Bay, Old Bay, etc.)
Crafting (sewing, crochet, knitting
Lighthouses (to be framed and given to my mom for Christmas!)
Cooking
Nativity (I know, Christmas, but I'd love to add an inchie nativity to my collection!)
Christmas in general
Summer
something inspired by my Pinterest

Due 15th June
Quasior to Nilmerg for zentangles and silohettes.

(1/0/0)

Hey, I'm Julie and I live in Tasmania, Australia.  My current project of rainbow inchies (single monocoloured inchies that will one day be put into a large rainbow mural).  I am really needing in-between colours now, like orange-yellow, greenish yellow, bluish-green, red/purple, if you know what I mean.  So a singular colour would be fantastic.  It may be the background of the main feature of the inchies.  Say a Peacock feather coloured mainly teal highlighted with purple would find its way into my greenish bluish area.  Or if the background is mainly purple it may end up in the purple area.  IYKWIM.

Themes:
1. Pagan
2. Natural ie landscapes/bugs/fish
3. Supernatural/Mythology ie Medusala/Day of the Dead/Rainbow Serpent
Inspirations:
4. Ruby Gloom
5. Teesha Moore
6. Gris Grimly (confusingly these can be dully coloured or B&W)
7. Jasmine Becket-Griffith

I also like children's stories, particularly cutely creepy kinds like "sipping spiders through straws", quirky like Maurice Sendak or complex like Graeme Base.  Hey just check out my Pinterest, there is even an inchie inspiration board!

Any questions? Please ask!

I claim johnson.mom2two for a combination of themes.
5/0/0
Due June 17

Hi. Im Valerie from NJ, USA. I love whimsical/ quirky art, and hand drawn inchies really float my boat (though other mediums are fine as well). I mount inchies in various art journals, so please keep them fairly thin (a layer or two of cardstock or watercolor paper is fine; corrugated cardboard or heavy/ rigid embellishments, not so much). Please nothing religious or scented. I would prefer "standalone" inchies rather than ones that have to be combined to make an image.

Themes:
1. whimsical/ quirky monsters or creatures (from your imagination)
2. whimsical/ quirky people/ faces
3. collage that includes (tiny!) vintage photos
4. sock monkeys
5. zetti-style
6. the TV show Farscape
7. steampunk
8. narwhals

**PLEASE NOTE THAT I DO NOT HAVE A DIGITAL CAMERA OR SCANNER. I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT IF YOU COULD TAKE A GALLERY PHOTO BEFORE SENDING, AS I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO. (sorry for the inconvenience!)
