I am confused about the ongoing swaps, the claims & lists, etc. Will it make more sense once claims start on the 1st? Do you post your info on the claims board? Do you have to wait until the 1st to post your info? Sorry for all the questions!

Me too!!  I'm confused about ongoing swaps too.  I'm new to swapping, and this sounds so interesting, and no matter how hard I try I can't seem to fully make sense of this.

Me too!!  I'm confused about ongoing swaps too.  I'm new to swapping, and this sounds so interesting, and no matter how hard I try I can't seem to fully make sense of this.   

I have only participated in a couple of ongoing swaps, so I am not an authority on the subject, but I did find they make more sense once they get going. You fill in the questionnaire and send that to the host (Nilmerg) to actually participate - they will let you know if you are okay to join in. Then when swapping starts someone will start the board going and if you want to participate, post a reply in the same vein. You send to the last person to post and the next person to post sends to you. I watched for a day or two the first time to get an idea of how it works - I found it easier once I started!

The only tip I would give is to set up and save a document with the information and themes that you want to post and who you are sending to and by when. I found it confusing the first time trying to remember the different dates.
