OK, I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but I realllly wanna make a topsy turvy cake this weekend for my daughters bithday.  The problem is I don't have the right size round cake pans.  I could go out and buy some of course, BUT I DO have a 3 tier set of heart shaped cake pans.  Do you think I could make a topsy turvy cake with the heart shape pans???  I've looked everywhere I could think of online and I don't think its been done.  Thank you!!!!!!!

Hi mama24boyz-
You can make a topsy turvy cake with heart pan. The easiest way to make a quickie version of one is to cut the bottoms of the cakes off at an angle, then flip them over to the opposite side, 'glue' the wedges of cake on the cake layer with a little frosting and proceed. This will give you a dramatic topsy look without making it too complicated and you don't have to hand carve the layers. (unless you want to!)
If you need more info feel free to pm me or you can go to http://ices.org/ and look at their site. Have fun!
