One of my good friends is a huge Harry Potter fan (to the point of writing fan fiction). I made her a set of Harry Potter glass marble magnets and a matching Altoid tin to store them in.

I had a Harry Potter pull-off calendar (a page for each day that can be ripped off). I searched it for images of Harry, Ron, Hermione, etc where the heads would be decent candidates sizewise for glass marbles. I glued them on, attached magnet backings, and voila! Harry Potter magnets.

For the tin, I took an old Altoids tins and decoupaged on bits and pieces of another page from the pull-off calendar. That page had the Harry Potter logo and a blue background.

I like the magnet and matching tin idea--it makes them so much more giftable.

If I was any more open, I'd be inside out.

Very cool...I love marble magnets.

Weird question though...as far as I can tell from your avatar, you look like someone who's a friend of a friend of mine. Where are you from?

Seasick Sarah had a golden nose
Hobnail boots wrapped 'round her toes
When she turned blue all the angels screamed
They didn't know they couldn't make a scene.

She had to run, run, run run, run.

I'm from the Cleveland area of Ohio....but I've been told that I look like other people. One time, my brother swore that he saw me at the mall when I hadn't been there and another time, a classmate in a math course kept thinking that I lived in the same dorm as him when I didn't. Hah.  Smiley
