I'm in a tea towel swap with some friends and I've chosen to do variations on a theme for my stitcheries.  That theme is Bigfoot.

Stitching in outline was a big challenge for me, because I've always filled my work.  But this towel was delicate and I'm a white-knuckle stitcher, so I didn't think I could fill without ruining it.  Here's an angle shot to show some of the texture.  You can also see a little better that his salt & pepper hair is saltier at this temples and where his soul patch hair grows.

I used back stitch, bastardized stem stitch and split stitch.

* Get it?  Cuz he's nekkid?  Teehee.

So awesome! I love how he has his binoculars for bird watching and for watching the ladies-whoot! Whoot!

I love the stems in his hair.

Another great Bigfoot! The line drawing aspect is different but it works great here. I love the hair stems and binoculars, and especially his bright blue eyes and winning smile. What a cutie.  Smiley

Thank you!  I'm waiting for the next towel to arrive in the mail and plotting what kind of BF I will stitch for it's owner!
