I had found one of those cheap, printed photos on a wooden base at goodwill sometime ago and thought that it could use some sprucing up. I am honestly obsessed with the idea of a t-rex vs an octopus. I'm sorry for not having a before picture... Just imagine the piece without the destruction and chaos! The picture itself was around $3.00 and the paint is Folk Art acrylic paint. Smiley

Here are some detail shots -

I used a wet brush to run the ink on the original picture to make it look a bit more worn. Overall, I was really pleased with the effect.

C & C is definitely welcome! Smiley

I love it!  The style of your painting and the colors you chose fit perfectly with the original, ahem, artwork.  Great attention to detail, too, with all the little fires and smoke scattered around.  Great job!

Thank you so much! The fight needed a background of destruction to set the mood, lol. Cheesy

This is so great! I just love it. And what a great idea! I would never have thought to make use of an existing piece of art and just add to it. But I may now! lol

This is brilliant!! My only "critique" would be that I wish the t-rex was a bit more highlighted, or was a brighter color.
