Can anybody think of a place I could find bottle caps? I've been making necklaces with tiny little scenes in the out of caps but I don't have any left.

I ask my friends who drink beverages that have bottlecaps to save them for me.

Just ask the owner of a local bar if you can have some. A lot of bars keep their caps to tally at the end of the night and then throw them out.

head to the beach/river/lake where fishermen hang out.  I've gotten dozens of bottle caps in just a few minutes.
