Since we discovered the Sweet N' Cute Creations tumblr, my kids have been requesting almost everything we see there. So I made them this little bee.

Careful, Bienchen, that's not a fellow bee!

Yes, that's a bee!

I must say the bee really is cute, but while I was working on it, I grew more and more aware that bees have six legs, not four, and that this was not a bee. I added the little fur cowl for more beeity, and then I still had to worry about proportions and posture of the thing, which took me a few trials to get right. Now that it's finished, we're all pretty happy with it.
And as our garden was very popular with the bees today, I took some pictures there.

Before adding the fur, you can see all the bee's parts in this pic quite well.

This bee is fantastic. I love how you modified the pattern to make it more lifelike. This rocks.

Awwwwwwww! This is by far the CUTEST bee I have ever seen. I just want to hug him lol. And I love the fuzzy neck part. Really adds to his character.

That's really cool. Nice handiwork. And she has a personality, too! Smiley

Hehe, my poor kids don't get granted their requests very often with all the other projects piling up;) and the talent part in that case goes to Shannen from Sn'CC, but thanks!
