I made these recently for a swap.  Resin pieces made with washi paper, in metal bezels. 

I had washi paper butterflies cut out for another project, and thought that a jewelry piece would complement the project nicely.  I cut out some purple paper and laid that down as the a background in the base of the bezel, and poured a thin layer of resin over.  I wanted the butterflies to look like they were resting on a stem, so I coiled some thin copper wires, laid those over the base paper.  I used a bit of glue to add the butterflies, and then laid a layer of resin over the entire work, until it was level with the edges of the bezel.





I had some resin leftover, so I took a bracelet bezel, covered over the holes, and made a butterfly whimsy.  It could have a glue on bail added to turn it into a pendent if so desired.

Thank you.  I definitely want to play with the wire and resin some more.  I like the one with the two butterflies and someone just told me that two butterflies together symbolize love in some cultures.
