Recrafting Stoneware

I have these two mugs that I want to paint some designs onto for my parents.

I would like to find a ceramic paint (in orange, in case anyone was interested) that:
1) doesn't need to be put in the kiln (I don't have one and I don't think you can do it twice) - "fired" in the oven is fine.
2) can safely go into the dishwasher
3) can safely go into the microwave
4) is permanent (obviously!)

Does anyone know of a product that can do this?

Or what kind of product I should be looking for?

I have some glass-paint that you fire into the oven, and once it has been you can put in the dishwasher, but it's for glass, so it doesn't say it's microwave safe (the paint is called Vitrea 160 with a tube of gold Pebeo).

Yes, you can use the glass paint with the usual disclaimer of non food areas (ie the outside of the mug). Did not see if it was microwave safe or dishwasher safe, but you can always put a disclaimer on it and I'm sure your parents would not have any problems with that.

I'd recommend using pebeo ceramic pens and paints, they should do the job!

Thanks for the answers! I found this picture on theBerry, and was wondering if the pen shown would be a "pebeo ceramic pen?" Or if anyone else knows what kind of pen it is, that would be awesome to know! In the meantime I'll see what I can find at my local art store for some ceramic pens!

I think this is what you are looking for.  I have seen them carried most of the time in regular brick stores (Michaels, AC Moores) since painting mugs and piggy banks has become a kid favorite craft.  

Also, somewhere I read that you can use your glass paint that you have but it will be clearer (looking more like glass than opaque like ceramics) and runnier.  However.... DO NOT MIX THE TWO!!!!!  they cure at different times and you wouldn't want a big hot mess on your awesome piece...  

best way to find out is to get a cheap ceramic tile from the hardware store (I think the  6x6 white ones are under a dollar) and test!

This looks just like a plain paint pen that you can buy at Michael's. I got a whole set of these at Michaels and they work well on ceramics.
