Here's this morning's harvest; asparagus, carrots and garlic scapes.  Scapes are the flower stalks of garlic plants and they're delicious grilled with a little olive oil, salt and pepper.  Smiley

They do!  They're tender and are fabulous in stir fry.  Tis the season for them, at least where I live.  They should be available at your local farmer's market.

When did you plant your carrots? Mine obviously need to take lessons from yours....

We planted them last November in a bed inside our greenhouse, along with lettuce, spinach, beets, potatoes and shelling peas.  The carrots we planted out a few weeks ago are around 3 inches tall right now, probably more in line with yours.   Smiley

MissingWillow, I have a question: My garlics don't have scapes yet... is it after the scapes come in that the bulbs are ready to harvest? I've never planted garlic before....
