I teach Kindergarten.  I whipped up a batch of fused glass magnets to give to our Parent Volunteers at the end of this year. They measure 1.5 inches square.  Viola!

I adore the colors you chose. I would be thrilled to receive one of these. What lovely gifts.

How do you make these? They're great. How much practise have you had to make something so perfect?

Kimbles,

These are easy to make.  You need fusible glass that is all the same COE (rate of expansion).  You cut squares, one of each color in increasingly larger sizes.  then stack them, pop them in the kiln, fire according to your full fuse schedule for your kiln and viola! - I attach a magnet to the back with E6000.  If you look closely they are not perfect at all.  The beauty of melting glass is that the edges round out a bit so you can't tell that the lines were not all cut completely straight.
