Share an Image from this Page bar??

Hey guys!  Some updates to the Share Bar:


The Share Bar should no longer show up if you're logged in.

If you're browsing as a guest there should now be an X you can use to close the bar. (However, if you clear your cookies you'll need to do it again.)

How come when I scroll down every page on Craftster I get a blue bar across the top of my screen that has Craftster on the left and 'Share an Image from this Page' on the right?

Is this a new feature?  If so, can I turn it off because it kind of bugs me

That was just something we're developing that was accidentally rolled out before it was ready. It's gone again!

Now it's back - so is it 'for real' this time or another accidential release.  If it's new, where can I find out more about it.

I have it too. And it's really irritating since it actually blocks anything on the top of the screen like links and such.

Yea, it was just released.  Basically if you're on a page with images (not avatars but project images) you can click that button on the bar and then either post it to Pinterest or to Facebook. You can also get the url to embed the image if you'd like.

There's a bit of a bug right now if you hit the button on a page that doesn't have any proper images (they need to be bigger than a specific size) but that's being worked on.

This is something we definitely want people's feedback on so let us know what you think!

Well when you scroll up to the top it should go away which will make any links there available. I don't know any way to permanently disable it but if I find out I'll let you know.

Maybe I'm the only one, but I find it terribly distracting that it pops in & out, to be honest. Would it be worth consideration to try to make it a permanent installation, that it still floats on the top of the page, but it is either there or not there, it doesn't appear & disappear while on one page? If that makes sense.

Just something to get used to I guess. I came to this page cause I was getting it on another page and found this post. But I'm getting it on this page and can't figure out exactly which image I'm supposed to share.

There isn't one. That's part of the bug.

That does very much make sense.  You don't want to see the movement/flash of it reappearing.
