I made this 3-6 month sized monkey earflap hat for my cousin who is expecting a baby soon. Although, I've made lots of different character hats before, I had never made a monkey. This was also my first time using Caron Simply Soft yarn, which is my favorite for baby items. I used the Caron Simply Soft in bone and Chocolate. The picture of just the hat made it look a little floppy, so I decided to use my fiance's skull for a better fit. I think it gives it a little bit of an edge anyway. I normally have my daughter model the hats, but since this one was so small, I didn't want to stretch it out.

Aww, I imagine the hat will look really cute on a baby (rather than a skull Wink)
