RachelStitches--I love the armchair pincushion with detachable threadcatcher--that's awesome!  I really like the combination of the two; I hadn't thought of that, and it will be really useful for louw.  Nice!

The top is sort of hinged (thank goodness or i'd lose it in a heartbeat)
and i'll try to post some better pictures on the pins soon as I find that darn camera again! I swear it grows legs and runs from me...

Here's some photos of the things louw sent me, we did the exact same pattern for the pincushion and thread catcher which I love cos I thought it was a great pattern and wished I had one too when I was making hers.



I also got a sewing machine mat and a little pouch which will be great if i take sewing things away from home with me:





And this adorable rat which is not going to be used as a pin cushion because it's just too cute!

Cute stuff - both of you thinking alike - I started to use that same pattern for my partner, but then switched gears and made some other things.  I like the pattern you two used, however - nice fabrics for both!

Hahaha, so funny that RachelStitches and louw made the same armchair pincushion with thread catcher and even the same pattern!! You both used nice colours! Like the buttons but also the pink/purple fabric.

And I know what you mean RachelStitches with not using that 'cause it is so cute. I don't use my chicken pincushions, because who would want to stick needles in a cute chick?

"DovVazo" the octopus needle book is so cute & I love those pins with the octopus on one & all the others are cute too!! The sewing Idea book is great I have one & I love it. All those pincushions are so cool & the stitch markers! Such a Awesome package!!

Boy "RachelStitches" & "louw" you both sure think alike! Those armchair pincushion organizer & thread catcher are Fantastic. I almost made one for my partner but change to something else. And "louw the little pouch & sewing mat are great & I love the cute Rat pincushion. I don't' blame you "RachalStitches" for not wanting to put pins in him, he's just darling!

Louw, your package to RachelStitches is lovely!  I love it that you both made the same item for each other!!  That purple fabric on the pin cushion and thread catcher is wonderful.  All the other goodies are wonderful too--the mat, pouch and rat (especially the rat!  So cute!)
