Want to start participating in craft fairs... a question about rings

I have never done a craft fair before, but I've been told by several people that they think I would do extremely well because my stuff is completely different from what a majority of the people sell at the craft fairs in my area. So, I'm really considering doing a few.

My main question is this. A big majority of my jewelry is adjustable rings. I have already ordered ring displays. What I'm worried about most is people trying them on and adjusting them. I don't want the rings to be completely bent out of shape because people keep adjusting them. Does anybody have any advice on what I should do about this? I thought about putting a little sign up asking people not to try on the rings and having a few sample rings for people to try on. But, is that rude? Will that scare away buyers? I just don't want a bunch of my rings being bent completely out of shape.

You might have to put them in a glass case to display them.  Otherwise, I think people will try them on and automatically try to adjust them to their size.  I am opening a craft consignment booth and I had thought I probably need to display jewelry in a glass case.  I just don't know if that hurts sales?

I have sold rings at shows and yes people need to try them on.  I haven't had any bent out of shape, people seem to be considerate and only slip it on as far as it can go without adjusting it.

I would definitely want to try them on.  I think if they're going to get messed up just by browsing you may want to look into a higher quality base though! Hopefully they're stronger than you think.

The bases I use are good quality and won't snap off or anything if adjusted a bunch. I'm just paranoid about it since I've put so much money into this. I just worry too much.

I sell some rings too, some people did try them on and one girl did adjust it. The metal is quite soft and I was worried about constant adjustments too. I think you should just make a sign to say your sample ring base to try on is -here-. (put it out next to the sign) and if they want to see the pendant on their hand just slide it on til it wont go any further. Id write something like:

"Please feel free to try on these rings. Please DO NOT adjust them as they are being sold as new items. Feel free to try on and adjust this sample ring base instead  "
