New dress finished this afternoon Smiley The bodice is a super cool antique style atlas fabric that I picked up at my local fabric store and never found a decent project for (apart from a tote which is floating around on here somewhere) and the skirt is a nice weight cotton with lace, all tea stained and lovely, that I picked up months ago! It's a wrap around style so no need to fuss with buttons or zips - WIN! Cheesy

Total WIN!  Great use of the fabric.  My brain would have thought dull stuff like cushion or wallet or whatever.  This is great Smiley

To all past swap partners....If something I made you fell apart in some way, it would be helpful to me if you PMed me and told me about it.  Sometimes, I try new things, and if they fail, it helps me to know

This is so lovely! I envision it being worn on a trip in like Italy or Spain or some place like that.

Wrap dresses are always a good way to go - and the neckline on this is awesome. Love this fabric too...do you know the name of it or the maker?

Thank you so much everyone! The map fabric? It's gorgeous huh? I think it's by "prestigious textiles", it's a nice weight cotton for curtains etc I believe Cheesy

Such a lovely dress! I love how naturally the fabric drapes to form the skirt. It's very beautiful =)

I read somewhere that tea-staining makes fabrics darken slightly with age--have you found that, or does the staining grow lighter with light-exposure? I've been wanting to try this with some white fabric I have around but haven't been sure about it.

I haven't found that yet, but then again I have only been tea-staining things for a couple of years. I do know that you need to set the stain in a vinegar solution (or something, I can't remember exactly what) as it will fade in the wash but it's very easy to re-stain Smiley
