Hi! I hope this is in the right spot, as there is no predefined tatting project spot. I debated between this section and the needlework section. So, sorry if this is in the wrong place.

I've been hopelessly addicted to tatting, and have been dreaming up making a cute bracelet for a while now. Here is the result.

With Clasp (it's one of those magnetic clasps):

I've also drafted a mini tutorial on my site, if you would like to make one of your own. Here's the link: http://bitsofbruce.com/tatted-edging-bracelet-mini-tutorial/

Thanks for looking!

MoonlitSun -- tatting is a form of lace making. The lace is made using a series of knots and loops. Traditionally it is made using a shuttle (a device to hold the thread), and thread. You can also tat using a needle, instead of a shuttle. The patterns read very similar to crochet patterns.

This is so beautiful! Makes me wish I'll soon learn how to tat.

If you make a tatted bracelet, I recommend stiffening it before wearing. Mine's folded over after wearing it all day, so I think I'm going to back to block and stiffen it, but otherwise I've worn it comfortably all day. No complaints.

And Ruby, where there's a will there's a way. I'm totally a self taught tatter. There are tons of videos and whatnot on the internet. Just give yourself time and patience, and then practice, practice, practice.  Smiley

I don't have any skills in the tatting arena, but my ancestors tatted.  This makes me think of doilies.  I have several doilies that are at least 60 years old.  I will look at your tute.  thanks.
