Project Name: Hogwarts Houses United Bracelet
Brief Description: I started to do a Ravenclaw bracelet but words "Together we stand, divided we fall" kept repeating in my head. So instead I decided to do something that reflects the spirit of Hogwarts united! There's a charm in every house colours, Trevor the Toad, pumpkin, love, trust and faith and some phoenix tears that heal all wounds.

Challenge: Quidditch - Keeper
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Cool School Agenda
Brief Description:
We're collecting school supplies for disadvantaged children in Amsterdam. Employees buy packages of school supplies for €15, and these get delivered to the food bank, who will pass the supplies on to families with children in the appropriate age range. To get the biggest bang for my buck, I've bought mainly neutral things, not the fancy stuff, but I think these children definetely deserve nice stuff too, so I used some craft supplies I had lying around to make the school diary a bit more special. The words are school, home, bel, studies, exam, and I also "signed" it with the initials of my first names.

House: Slytherin
Project Name: Congratulations card
Brief Description:
This card says "Gefeliciteerd", which means congratulations in English. It may or may not be congratulations for the Slytherin Quidditch team for winning the house cup (it seems like a lot is still going on in this last day though!) I'll probably use it for someone's birthday though


This was really a last-minute thing, I had started working on something to put over dishes to keep the flies away, to embellish it, but it was so slow and it didn't quite work out. It might come back later!

Quidditch Challenge: House Pride
Project: Well Bust my Buttons!
House GRYFFINDOR!!!

It's a rather simple project but OMG it's so perfect! The buttons I found are TOTALLY Gryffindor House Pride. And they were in a Sale bin for $.77! If you look closely, there's a lion within the shield on the button AND, a crown with a "w" on top because you know, Weasley is our King!! ISN'T IT AWESOME!!! I dunno what I'm goign to do with them yet but it'll be something special for sure.



And a close up with my decorated sewing machine in the background. It wasn't until later that I realized that there was a LION for added Gryffindor pride and a bunny, which is my Patronus. My daughters are eerie sometimes since they're the ones that put them there. 




Quidditch Challenge: Seeker
Project: Snitches in ditches and tangled in hair
House Gryffindor!!!

They're so CUTE!! I saw these buttons in with the Gryffinor ones and I'm like "DUH, how obvious!" So I got some wired ribbon, snipped some off and threaded it through the back. It even frayed nicely into snitch wings Then I slipped some bobby pins through the back and Voila! C'est magnifique! I made three.

Quidditch Challenge: Chaser
Project: Property of the Half-Blood Muggle
House GRYFFINDOR!!!

So I was practicing hand binding journals a few weeks ago and I had no idea what to do with the covers. My husband brought me home some new material to use so I'm like..alright go with it. So it became my Chaser project. YES there are some yellow and red ribbons but they're only minimal Gryffindor pride. 98% of it is red so I thought it qualified as a Chaser project.

I just realized that after submitting my last three Quidditch entries, Gryffindor is the first house that's completed all of the Quidditch challenges! (aside from the portkey challenge) ALRIGHT GRYFFINDORS!!! ROAR ROAR ROAR!!!!

      Come on Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff!!

QUIDDITCH CHALLENGE

I was thinking about a Chudley Cannons shirt, but then I decided to show my support for an American team: Texas' own Sweetwater All-Stars, mentioned in Quidditch Through the Ages as a team that has broken through to international level play.



One of my microwave corn bags had no case and this is a pillowcase for it. I was working with some pretty narrow scraps, but I think it came out okay; those chalk marks where I spaced out the lettering will come off in the wash. Here's the picture of the back, along with a Ravenclaw cellphone case I crocheted last night (rather tight on my phone, unfortunately).

Okay, so I know it's really last minute, but I had fun completing these projects for the Quidditch challenges. The projects:  my first three ATCs, which are all made from playing cards decorated with scrapbook paper and various embellishments and a red duct tape change purse.

Its a bobby pin painted brown(with acrlic paint) I used some vintage fabric I have for the broom bristles.
