I saw how far behind Slytherin was in the Quidditch Challenge and decided to make this Snitch necklace to help earn a few points.
Remember that since houses have an uneven number of students, I will be taking an average from the points accumulated per house and the number of quidditch players per house.  So don't despair if your house seems low on points compared to other houses .... :::cough, cough, Ravenclaw, cough::: .... there is still hope!

Gryffindor Roar!
I just finished another Quidditch project and will be posting pics this weekend. Cool
Sending butterbeers and cauldron cakes to the Gryffindor Team to fuel crafty energy! Grin

Class: Beater Challenge
House: Slytherin
Project Name: First of Many
Brief Description: Id never used polymer clay before so I thought this would be a good opportunity. I made these two pendants as gifts and covered them with mica and then kept making things and kept making things and... yep, polymer clay is fun.

Quidditch Challenge: Cheering/Spirit
House: Gryffindor
Project Name: Gryffindor House Pride Earrings
Project Post: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=412386.0

For my cheering/spirit project I knew I wanted to make something wearable, and jewelry is my favorite medium, so I created a pair of House Pride earrings!

The beads are red Czech glass and amber glass teardrops. The charms are Tibetan silver.

I was so pleased with how cute the Gryffindor ones came out, I kept on crafting and created a pair for each house!

The info is posted here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=37941.0

And just FYI, if you scroll to the very top of the screen, you'll see a set of links in blue at the top center.  The far left is the "Help" link, which will lead you to the Craftster FAQ's & Craftster Need to Know Guide.  Smiley

Quidditch Challenge: Keeper
House: Gryffindor
Project Name: Crocheted Squares for Knit-a-Square.com

Since I've had my yarn and crochet hooks out, I decided to make a donation to Knit-a-Square.com to fulfill my Keeper project.  They are a charity that accepts knitted and crocheted squares which they then seem together to make blankets for AIDS orphans in Africa.  Here are my 3 squares!

Quidditch Challenge: Broomstick Crafts
House: Gryffindor
Project Name: Fly Nimbus 2000 Necklaces

For my Broomstick craft, I decided to try out some new tools and supplies that pinkleo sent to me for Christmas. Specifically, a new set of letters & a bench block for making stamped jewelry.  I ended up making 2 necklaces while I was playing around last night.  Both feature copper and bronze stamping blanks, copper chain, and amethyst AB fire-polished bead accents.

Detail of pendant:

And with that I have now completed something for every project in the Quidditch Challenge!  Woot!  Now it's time to cheer on my fellow Gryffindors.  And in order to do that, I've decided that I'm going to send one of my Broomstick necklaces to the next Gryffindor who completes a Keeper project!  Come on Gryffindors!  Let's show off those chivalrous hearts for a good cause!!!

The other necklace will be going to Eiseldora for her hard work cheering on ALL the Quidditch teams!  Eiseldora, PM me your mailing address, and it will go out with my next batch of Etsy orders!

Class (or House Pride Item): House Unity
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Hufflepuff Joins the Rest

This may be the teensiest bit dorky, but years ago, before the final book, I made "scarf" bookmarks for each of my Harry Potter books. Mostly Gryffindor, but the other houses got one each, except for Huflepuff. No slight intended: I admire the Hufflepuff spirit of We'll take everybody who is willing to do the work; I just didn't have any black thread and was waiting for some to turn up in the thrift store. I eventually gave up and bought some new and now, inspired by this craftalong, Hufflepuff finally joins the other houses.

The Huff marker will live in The Goblet of Fire, the only book with a major character from Hufflepuff.

And I figured as long as I had the thread out, I'd make some more. I'm always losing bookmarks (other than these HP ones) and one was intended to become my portkey on a nearby Muggle campus (cleverly disguised as a lost bookmark in their school colors) if life and poor planning hadn't intervened.
