Since I started so late I'm just going to have to face that I probably won't be able to do the challenges and just concentrate on passing my classes! Next semester I will join straight away so I don't rush and my crafts don't suffer like this:

Yep. It was going to be my charms assignment. The mirror was supposed to be like seeing your reflection in a pond at night, so I covered the wooden frame with clay and embedded shards of mother of pearl and fake pearls and painted it and surrounded it with beads which were supposed to be the stones around the pond. I fell in love with it while I made it. Hastily. And then it cracked. Everywhere. It makes me too sad so I've put it away to deal with another day. I'm looking forward to coming up with something else for class though. Just shared this in case anyone else had a crafting disaster, I know how you feel  Cry

Class: Astronomy
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Sewing in the Sunshine
Brief Description: Decorated a plain cardboard gift box and decorated sewing bits and pieces.

Class: Transfiguration
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Good Luck Charm
Brief Description: My Mums partner got a new car recently and they love going on recreational drives together. His birthday is coming up,so I made him this charm as part of his present so that every trip they take together will bring them closer together: there are little metal heart charms dangling from it which are hard to see in the picture but I swear they're there.

Class: Transfiguration
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Sock Monkey Mania
Brief Description: After I saw Katara's awesome results with the Transfigaro sockus spell, I knew I had to try it myself! I think it turned out pretty well for the first try ^_^

Challenge: Reparo
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Fixed up case
Brief Description: The first charm I used to paint my case didn't really work that well; everytime I touched it I got black marks all over my hands >_< So, today, I finally recast the charm and now I have a lovely new case in metallic charcoal.

Class: Care of Magical Creatures
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Dino Desk Set
Brief Description: I love all the neon dinosaur planters that I've been seeing around the place and I really want one, but there is not much natural light down in the dungeons so I thought I should make something different. So, I made a desk set! The green Stegosaurus has a compartment lined with a flexible magnent and it's for holding paperchips and pen nib, the pink Velociraptor holds quills, and the blue Triceratops is a spellotope dispensor. ^_^

There are some awesome projects on here! I especially love jennieingram's London Calling Bracelet and chughes's Portkey Rock ^_^

Hopefully I'm not too late for this. Meant to post yesterday.

Class (or House Pride Item): Portkey
House: (if desired): Ravenclaw
Project Name: No Stress Travel Collage Portkey
Project Page Link:
Brief Description: After a stressful day I like doing quick crafts to help unwind with whatever I have readily available. Since a good Portkey is usually something we want Muggle to ignore, I focused on using clothing tags as well as some buttons laying around. The tree was a just because I felt the need to add something new addition. I'm going back and covering it up so only the bottle cap is visible so Muggles don't pick it up because it's pretty.

I looooooooove the dino desk set!!!

Class (or House Pride Item): Charms
House: (if desired): Ravenclaw
Project Name: Sublime Shower
Brief Description: This is a crayon scratching. You probably haven't done that since kindergarten, right? It was a lot of fun. Even if I did whittle my poor black crayong down to nothing. Oh well! I didn't really have a good tool to do the scratching so I used a seam ripper. Oops!

Class (or House Pride Item): Portkey
House: (if desired): Ravenclaw
Project Name: Piranha Portkey

Brief Description: My husband told me I should make a warp pipe for a portkey.  I thought this was a great idea! but also thought I should probably not leave it unguarded.  To guard it (and hopefully deter muggles from touching) it I added a purler piranha.  Any witch or wizard should be able to subdue his chomping with a quick Lumos spell.

Thanks for the nice comments on my rock portkey Wink. I am loving the diversity of all the projects in this craftalong.  I agree the warp pipe as a portkey great idea. Ive been working away on my potions assignment.  I just got them back from my dad he had to do some wood cutting for me.  Grin I can't wait to finish them and display them.

WOW! So many awesome projects!  Grin

I particularly like the good luck charm - what an ingenious use of bobbins!  Wink and the rock port key!

lightninglisa - You totally nailed the Transfigaro Sockus spell!  Grin
