Brief Description: I don't wear a lot of purple, so thinking about the perfect way to bring some purple into my wardrobe for the Knight Bus challenge was tricky ... until, while researching my Muggle Studies project (coming soon!) I saw an episode of Adventure Time. One of the characters is Lumpy Space Princess; a bright purple teenaged ... lump. Her deadpan manner and adolescent outbursts are sure to put any suspicious characters off the trail, for who would suspect her as a spy?

...phew... I've just finished reading all 67 pages of this craftalong! I now consider myself to be officially up to speed!  

Must say that I encountered many FAB projects along the way!

Project Name: iPod Beanbag (star fabric)

Brief Description: So when I do my cross stitch I like to sit in bed and watch Youtube videos etc on my iPod. Now my iPod is rather slippery so it often slides from where ever I have strategically placed it. Today I decided to make a beanbag for it so I can sit it on my knee and craft away without having to try not to move or having to pick it up all the time.

So I sat down, sketched what I wanted then made a pattern. I then spent the afternoon hand sewing it. It has a larger triangular part at the back which is filled with rice and a little ledge at the front to hold up the iPod which is made from kebab skewers.

(On the screen is a show that Muggles love! It is called The Big Bang Theory, I am studying it for my Muggle Studies and I think it is brilliant!)

Thanks, AugustBell! I sorta eye-balled irishdaydreamer's Snape and drew a pattern on old wrapping paper. After making Snuggle Snape I just went gung-ho on Dumblesnore and made him sans pattern. They sort of have the same basic shape but I sewed DS's ears and arms inside the front and back pieces instead of sewing them on afterward. And I agree with you on Eiseldora's and tattooedcupcake's assignments. So great!

Well, they are both great! I'm now convinced that I have to put a Dumblesnore on my long "to-do" list. So clever.

Stitches is my new reminder monster.


He is going to help me when I'm crafting.


He will be there to help me remember to calm down (he's squishy and doesn't mind a little squeeze to help me destress), to work past my frustrating crafty moments (luckily he's up for a bit of a toss during those times when my yarn will not rip nicely or I get paint in the wrong space or my thread is all knotty), and to craft with love (how could you forget love when you look at Stitches, such a tender heart he has).

Well, he is ready to go to work ….


Wait Stitches, I need you in my WIP basket not my sewing basket…
