That is so awesome pottermouth!

I want to do that too, but I think the professors would frown on it.

Challenge: Reparo!
House: Gryffindor
Project Name: Director's Chair Redo

My husband found a director's chair at a yard sale some years ago, long before we met.  His mom helped him replace the fabric components, and we've moved it around to our several homes since then.  Sadly, about 2 years ago, I leaned on it with my knee, and ripped a huge hole in the seat, and bruised up my knee pretty good too! Since we never seem to have enough seating when we invite friends over, I've been meaning to repair it ever since.  But since I never do anything for myself, it has sat around for the last two years.  So, yesterday afternoon, while at work, I freaked out.  Couldn't stand to be in front of a computer any longer, so I got up from my desk, walked out to the main part of the shop, and stitched up a new back and seat!

Here's the old seat:

A detail short of the huge hole:

And a shot of the finished chair!

I love the olive green a million times more than the blue, which never matched our living room furniture at all.

@Pottermouth: Dumblesnore and Snuggle Snape?!?!? I. Love. You. Seriously. Did you just make those, or did you have a pattern. I need. I NEED.

@Eiseldora: Love that mockingjay shirt!

@tattooedcupcake: What a sweet little owl! And I love the colors you used.

Thanks, AugustBell! I sorta eye-balled irishdaydreamer's Snape and drew a pattern on old wrapping paper. After making Snuggle Snape I just went gung-ho on Dumblesnore and made him sans pattern. They sort of have the same basic shape but I sewed DS's ears and arms inside the front and back pieces instead of sewing them on afterward. And I agree with you on Eiseldora's and tattooedcupcake's assignments. So great!

Challenge: Knight Bus
Project Name: Purple Cat Washcloth
Project Page Link: Project on Ravelry
Brief Description: Made for a Swap, Partner liked Purple, and I've wanted to do this pattern within a pattern for a while.
Project Picture:

Class: Transfiguration
Project Name: Purple Poof
Project Page Link: Project on Ravelry
Brief Description: Made for a Swap. I went to Joanns to get nylon yarn to make a bath poof. When I'd done a washcloth swap recently one of the items sent was a knitted poof, so I wanted to try making one myself. At the store one of the sales clerk told me they don't sell nylon, but everyone just cuts up Tule. I asked for more instructions and the told me to just cut it in 2 inch strips and knit. Nervous bought the tule and let it sit for a while.

Then at a farmer's market I saw a booth with knitted items almost identical to everything I know how to make. Lots of washcloths with the pattern I use, and some pot scrubbers made with tulle. The booth owner was very kind and explained how to knit with tulle.  Yeah!

Once I knew how to make the tulle yarn It was a very simple project to make.

This is the first time I've knitted something making my own yarn.

Class : Muggle Studies
Project Name: Tardis Ebook Cover
Project Page Link: Project on Ravelry
Brief Description: Muggles love to watch moving pictures, something they call movies or television.  Create an item inspired by a muggle movie or television show. I made an ebook cover for my nook previously, but I have a friend who's birthday is July 4th. He just bought a nook, and he's a big sci fi geek, so I decided to make him a Tardis Ebook Cover for his birthday. Its from the wildly popular muggle sci fi show Doctor Who.

Class : Reducio
Project Name: Red Doll Skirt
Brief Description: Using size 2 double pointed needles and some red sock yarn, I made a miniturature skirt, the size that will fit on a barbie doll. Give it to a house elf.
