I am going to serve detention working on an afghan. I'll post a current picture of it soon. Likely I'll been in detention for at least a month... but I sure do have to finish it!

I serving Detention with an afghan too!  I have all the crocheting done and some of the squares joined, but I am the worse at getting those squares together!  (possible 2 afghans will be in Detention...and yes, it's for square joining too)

I join as I go and it helps a lot! I also do a trick with weaving in the ends. I weave the starting end in as I start the piece, and the other end is used to join.

I may be in detention for a LOOOONG time when it comes to WIPs...I've had the Sock Yarn Blanket by Shelly Kang in limbo for a while and only pick it up here and there...not to mention the blanket that I started for my daughter's B-Day.

See, this is why we need Detention!   Of course you just have to choose 1 WIP....I have too many WIPs to admit to!!!!   It seems mostly crocheted projects (this is probably because I'm a yarn hoarder collector).  And let me say, I LOVE that Sock Yarn Blanket by Shelly Kang!!!  I have a couple of sock-crazy projects going, hexipuffs & mini socks.....Yup, I'll be in Detention forever with you!

Brief Description: I hand-stitched this cuff from purple silk, with red crushed velvet on the back. The profusion of lace, bead embroidery, and red disc dangles confuse the eye so that the viewer forgets they ever saw it. Each disc is a recording device that uses muggle technology. The cuff responds even to a far distant accio charm in order to retrieve it. It can also be used while being worn, and is great for recording the goings-on at parties and festivals.

Brief Description: These first two cards were drawn from life on the grounds at Hogwarts. The first fellow I caught lounging about in the forest where I was... on an official errand for Hagrid. No, really, I was. Anyhow, the owl was waiting about for a letter to carry home so I drew him while I had the chance.

NSFW!!!   The third card shows bare boobies, just to warn anyone who might be sensitive about that, or who may be viewing from a muggle workplace!
