pssst...I heard Professor Trelawney predict the Summer Semester students were all joining the OTHPT3. Is that true?

I promised the other half that I wouldn't swap for a bit since the last one I did cost $30 just to ship it...However, I don't think OT swaps should count....

I'll have to think about it (even though I already have several ideas!).

No, no....OTT swaps don't count Wink

...oh, and I have been there & done that, but the truly great thing about One Tiny Thing (OTT) swaps is you just send one thing, no extras, and that one thing can be quite light, great but light, which is a saver on post. Grin

Welcome Sinead.B!  I can't wait to see what you create!  If you have any questions, don't hesitate in sending an owl (either PM to me or post here in this thread).  Have fun! Grin

Merlin's Beard!
I can't begin to list individually how much I love these projects! All of them!
I "accidentally" went to three craft stores in 2 days getting bits and bobbles for the crafts dancing in my head.

Thanks for the inspiration, and for letting me know I am not alone in my love of HP themed crafts!

Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer's day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time.

Who said something about a hoop? Wink I would love to receive a hoop!

I love the step in the syrup recipe where you have to remove anything with legs. Tongue

I'm curious -  can a project do double duty either for two classes or a class and a challenge?  Because this item is both for forgetfulness AND is purple!

Class: Potions (and possibly The Knight Bus)
House: Gryffindor - according to Pottermore!
Project Name: Nursing Cuff
Project Page Link: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=409065.0

This cuff is designed to help me remember which side I last nursed on!  Baby girl is 2 months old, and we usually only nurse one side at a feed.  During the day in particular it's hard to remember, because of course I'm not changing positions much to swap sides.  At night we do side-lying feeding so then I can remember!  I just swap the cuff at each feed, and I'm never left wondering!  The yarn is scraps of Dream in Colour Classy from a Tulip baby sweater my mom made for her.

Project #2!  I hope it counts....although it doesn't have a sun or moon ON it, it's specifically a sun hat to protect her from the sun's rays!

Class: Astronomy
House: Gryffindor
Project Name: Reversible sun hat
Project Page Link: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=409066.0

So I had to take it upon myself to make my baby girl a sun hat, because we haven't been able to find one that fits her tiny noggin!  She's only two months and was born on time but quite small, so the 0-6 month store hats are simply massive.  I used this really cute pattern: http://www.merrimentdesign.com/baby-sunhat-pattern-with-ruffles-and-ties.php#comment-150484, but used 5/8" seam allowances on the crown pieces to reduce the circumference to around 16".  I also left two little gaps in the seams between the crown and brim, finished with top stitching so that I can pull the straps through to reverse the hat.

It turned out SO cute, and the pattern and tutorial were great!  I really recommend it.
