HP Craftalong ~Summer Semester 2012~ *CLOSED*

I started crafting today... but apparently my cold porcelain potion was incorrectly written in the textbook, and the resulting clay is very tough to work with. I may just have to go get some fancy smancy polymer clay to use on this project instead.

@chughes, oh my, I adore the color...I'm in the process of collecting supplies for a fab pink streak for me; hubby is anxiously awaiting....he thinks it will be adorable.  And of course it counts, Craftster has a board for everything, and if there is a board for it, then it is good for your assignment.  (Bath & Beauty is one of my fave boards)

@teag, Your report is shocking indeed.  The Dept. of Magical Law Enforcement needs all recruits to be vigilant for this practice of play game that must not be played....Muggle Bones...must be stopped!  (great piece and GREAT storycrafting!)

It looks like my current assignment will count as the challenge! I started it when I saw this craft along, but too bad knitting takes me forever. I'm hoping to finish up in the next 2 days and get some pictures of it up. I can't wait to show it off to you!

YAY and don't fret; we have the whole of summer to finish assignments (and most challenges).  Oh, and I feel your pain; I'm a very, very slow knitter myself.  Luckily in the Fall Semester we will have the OWLs, which will give us extra points for taking on long-term assignments.  I can't wait to see the pics!

Time for me to join in on the fun, and step out of crazy lurkerdom.  It is so much fun watching all the action on this thread. This will be just what I need to participate more actively here.

First thing I had to do was get sorted properly. I have taken many different "which house would you be in" tests all over the web and gotten a variety of options, so I signed up to Pottermore and played till I was sorted (ok I kept playing after too   ). Add another Ravenclaw to the roster.

And for my first thing to add...

Checkered skull scarf - double knit, is that when the pattern appears on both sides at once? Never done that, must be perfect for scarves. Scarf is really cool!

Welcome Mloopy!  I am so happy you are coming out of lurkerdom!  If you have any questions, just send an owl (either PM me or post in this thread).  Your spider shirt is fab, though if I was wearing it I would constantly be thinking real spiders were on me...which would make me quite jumpy...which probably drive my family to fits of laughter.  Can't wait to see your next assignment!  I'm off to add you to the Ravenclaw house.

teag, I love the stories you post with your projects!

I'm thinking for the spiders challenge I'll do something with an image on my pinterest of the Ford Anglia and the acromantulas... maybe stitch it up for my wall. For the Knight Bus challenge, I'm not sure yet. I have a lot of other in progress (or soon to be in progress) projects going on right now though, so I think I'm going to push my summer homework off until the second half of the summer.
