Class: Care of Magical Creatures, Spider challenge
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Book Spider

Book spider pendant is made of several layers of old book pages laminated together with matte medium.  It's sealed with a coat of glossy modge podge.  I have to admit, looking for a suitable stencil I saw so many pictures of spiders I actually got a bit nauseated.  I don't mind the little critters if they are small, but... well, when you get stories in the local paper about huge spiders eating tree snakes, you can imagine why I'm a wee bit hesitant to embrace arachnid love.  I like my book spider much better!

I would like to attend the summer semester at Hogwarts! I missed the train and had to walk it there. :C That's why I'm so late!

rossie, LOVE that spider necklace!  I completely understand what you mean about looking at spider pics and large spiders....I'm having a hard time with just my spider robes; probably will have to Madam Malkin's very soon (swish...changed ).  Speaking of Madam Malkin's, I absolutely adore your robes!

My oh my, Hogwarts sure gets more attention these days then it used to during the summer. *Sends in any necessary paperwork* I would love to join in on this Craftalong fun; this structure is wonderful, the badges and theme gives some incentive to actually make stuff, and oh do I have ideas. ....oh as for house, I'd probably be a Ravenclaw (haven't actually gottten anywhere near that far in Pottermore to be sorted, but quizzes have placed me in this house).

Welcome dolphinwind10!  You make me smile because getting inspired and getting crafty is what it is all about here at the HP Craftalong....that and share our love of the HPverse.  I can't wait to see what you craft!

In other news, I finished my Divination project!   (YAY!)  I just need to take pics (why is my camera always low battery when I want to take pics ....I suspect nargles)  Now to ponder my next assignment...

I do believe I would like to join in, but I have no idea which house I belong in. On quizzes I tend to end up a hatstall between Ravenclaw and Slytherin, but people say I am far too nice to be in either and that I must be a Hufflepuff! I do have to admit on Pottermore I got Slytherin, but then Hufflepuff on a second try through (just to see) and I think it bases the decision more on which house needs more students than anything else. Maybe PinkLeo would let me try on the sorting hat :3 (As Slytherin is underrepresented I'll not argue like Harry did. There have been good Slytherins too you know!)

I do know I have a great idea for my potions homework, good thing too! It does not do well to begin classes on Prof. Snape's bad side.

Brief Description: k so she didn't turn out as planed but I made a pygmy puff from a old bear & a old duck.
This was a trial for when I make a real better one my daughter adopted her & named her turduckie.
