~*Are you ready to serve Detention with Snape?*~
Hmmm, is he going to give me detention like scrubbing cauldrons, or "detention" where he lectures in that chocolate-y voice of his? Cauldrons, no. Otherwise, sure!  Tongue

You guys....... I'm kind of seriously heart broken.  So, I was dying my hair violet for the Knight bus dealio, remember?  Well, I did.  And it's AWFUL.  I've been dying my hair for most of my life and I just don't understand it.  I mixed the violet hair dye with toner because I wanted to go pastel, over the SUPER light pastel pink I had.  So, I bleached my roots to white and soap capped the rest and then I dyed my hair.  When I rinsed it the water ran COMPLETELY clear.  Well.... It isn't what I was expecting at ALL.  My roots are almost indigo and the length is as well but there is still a lot of pastel pink and in between that is dusty blue/black.  My hair completely soaked up all of the color and it came out SO dark.  SO dark.  I'm mortified.  And I'm afraid to wash it because it looks like it's threatening to fade to gray very soon.  I was going for PASTEL violet.  I'm super bummed.  I really didn't want dark hair.  I still have bleach and developer and tomorrow I'm going to pick up some hair dye to try to repair the damage.  Any ideas on exactly how I could repair said damage?  xoxo

P.s.
I'm going to post this in a more relevant place as well, I just wanted you guys to know that I DID try.  Fail xThe color of my hair.

@youfoundmeagain - I'm sorry about your hair  Cry  I've had my share of color mishaps too.  I don't really have any great suggestions (my hair is dark enough that when things go wonky I can color over it dark brown) other than to see if a salon might be able to strip the blue/violet out if the bleach doesn't work.

On another note, to try to avoid detention I thought I would post a couple of projects I completed but have been too lazy to take pictures of.

Class: Care of Magical Creatures
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Chubs the Fat Dragon
Brief Description: Chubs (I'm sure he has a proper dragon name that he has not revealed yet) is a dragon of the frosty type.  I found him in my back garden one warm day looking quite uncomfortable.  When I approached him he did not flee and was quite friendly.  He followed me back inside where he's been causing some mischief, mostly chilling my tea when I'm not looking and leaving the freezer door open.
Project Picture: Here he his in my sewing room chillin' on a quilt I'm trying to finish.

He was made using a pattern by DIYFluffies

Class: Arithmancy
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Golden Rectangle Mugrug
Brief Description: I pieced together this mugrug using red scraps creating a golden rectangle based off of the Fibonacci sequence.  Being monochromatic the photo doesn't show each of the smaller rectangles well.  Cry

@Youfoundmeagain, I'm so sorry!  I've had a bad hair experience this year (color mishap AND horrible, horrible cut Tongue), which I'm still recovering from.  I wish I had some advice for you, but sadly I don't.  I wish you tons of luck!!!! Kiss

@FiberAlchemist: Chubs is adorable, and you Arithmancy is very clever.  (just so you know, I'm coveting your mug!)

Detention coming soon!

FiberAlchemist - I love Chubs - I have this pattern waiting to be made up, so Chubs may have an online friend soon.  Cheesy

Class: Divination
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Rainbow Sensory Bin
Brief Description: I chose a rainbow for my omen. Who doesn't love a rainbow? They are so pretty and there's always gold at the end of them! I decided to do a sensory bin for my 20-month-old (today!) son. He loves sensory bins and he's had a dried oatmeal and dinosaur one for a while and I thought it was time for a change.  I dyed six pounds of pasta in six different colors. Dying the pasta was messier than I anticipated and took longer too. I also had to redo three pounds :/ I made a felt cloud plushie and of course added a pot of gold!

Made two assignments today - Charms and CMC, was so nice having a day to craft. For charms I made a bookmark for a friend with an ocean theme and for CMC I made a Monster Book of Monsters. Pics to come tommorrow when it's not so late.

August Bell - That Sensory Bin is the cutest thing!
FiberAlchemist - Chubs is adorable and the mug rug is neat.
Youfoundmeagain - Hope things go okay in fixing your hair.
