Oh, now I need a House Composition Notebook!

Dear HPCers,

Your Fall Staff will be setting up the Fall Semester thread soon.  DO NOT POST IN THE FALL THREAD UNTIL IT IS OPEN TO ALL!  The staff needs to reserve some of the first posts for the activities planned.  I will post in here once all staff members have reserved their needed posts.  Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Sincerely,
Headmistress pinkleo

class-defense against the dark arts
house-gryffendor
project-sweetened sweatshirt

One of my big fears, is failure, breaking the rules, rejection. This was one of my favorite sweatshirts, boring grey but super soft. when i treated a stain with bleach kitchen cleaner instead of stain treaterby mistake, the spot turned pinkish. i liked the color and it was already ruined, so i took the risk and spritsed it all over with the bleach solution, let it set a minete, then washed it. i've worn it that way for a few months, but i've wanted to take it further, but held back because I didn't want to wreck it.

i freehanded the spirals first in silver, then went over the main stem again in black, then added other spirals with a fine point black marker. i've been doodling spirals, so this really wasn't  hard once i got started. it was actually hard to know when to stop.  Grin

class-potions-forgetfulness potions
house-gryffendor
project-book list bookmark

with school starting up, i wanted my kids to keep a record of what they have read this year, i think they will be surprised how many books they read, and it will help them remember their favorites. i made one for each of the kids with their name on the front,

and unfolded there is fun striped paper inside for their list.
they were excited, and started writing in the names of their current favorites. these may fill up very quickly

class-divination
house-gryffendor
project-mad cat atc

I was making this for a swap, it's not my usual style, but it was fun to visit the dark side. black cats are a bad omen, this one is more grey but he's the cheshire cat from alice the madness returns... he looks bad enough to me. he is drawn on grey paper, then attatched to a red background using pop dots. i hope it doesn't come off in the mail!

class-sorting hat
house gryffendor
project-charm bracelet

i loved the bracelets i've seen on other members of my house, so when my quiditch coach sent me some charms at the end of the season, i knew exactly what to do with them

i thought about adding color, but i like that i can wear it in the muggle world without giving too much away. the picture isn't great, but there is a doe, a dragon, a snitch, the night bus, a book, and a ship. i have other charms, but my daughters wanted to have a few too.

class-detention with snape
house -gryffendor
project smocked sundress

the picture is a little blurry and sideways, but i finally finished my detention project! i bought the smocked fabric on sale the begining of the summer to make dresses for my girls, but it kept getting put off and summer is almost over! sewed the seam up the back and added a quick hem, then i used ribbon for the shoulder straps to add a special touch. it took maybe and hour. why did i put it off for so long!
