Merlin's Pants!  We have, what? 3 days left and I still have about 10 more assignments to finish!
 Roll Eyes
This craftalong is not about crafting all the classes & challenges (my goodness, that is A LOT of crafting...a time turner would definitely be needed!).  It is just a bit of inspiration to get you crafting...  So no fretting, just fun! Grin

Keep in mind the wise words of Deputy Headmistress jennieingram, "It does not do to dwell on lists and forget to craft."

Thank you for clarifying that!  I really didn't want to let my house (or you) down, and those knitting projects took a ton of time!

Also: Dear Universe: Can we get that Jennieingram quote on some tote bags, etc? That is PERFECT! Signed, me.

Class/Challenge: House Pride/Sorting Hat/reducio? (You decide)
House: Slytherin
Project: Witch Hat Ornament

Here's a wee knit hat ornament embellished with a feather, green ribbon and matching green and silver "jewel."

I apologize that something is thwarting my efforts to rotate that and make it look half-way normal.  But you get the idea, I hope.

And the other completion today:

Challenge: Follow the Spiders
House: Slytherin
Project: Motivational "Creativity Catcher"

This is really hard to photograph properly with what I have to work with, but it is about 2 1/2" diameter ring with a "Cobweb" of white sewing thread and a charm reading "Never Never Give Up!" dangling below.  In the web there is a little black seed bead "spider".

I have several projects on my "Want to get those done" or "Wouldn't it be neat if I..." lists but I notice that I tend to get all gung-ho at the start and the energy wanes, or a set-back happens, and I get discouraged then too easily I let go of something that I really want to accomplish.  The Spider in the wild makes that web over and over- after the rain, after someone walks through it or sweeps it away, after a successful meal ruins part of the web... That little bitty thing just gets right back up there and does it again.  This "Creativity Catcher" or Motivation maker will hang by my desk to remind me to get in there, stay the course, and get the work of the day done.

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

Haha! No jazz hands in that video, just MAGIC PAWS!

Ant Bee, I adore your wee Hat. Wouldn't it be perfect on a HP tree?

class-muggle studies
house-gryffendor
project- jacob atc

i did this card for a swap but as it may not arrive before the semester is over, i'll go ahead and post it and not say who should look for it in the mail.

Jacob is a from one of those muggle movies 'twilight' not always accurate but still much fun. he's much prettier than the werewolves we have seen around here, no offense to lupin! i think the twilight type are more like animagus than true werewolves.

@Ant Bee: for this semester ONLY, projects can count for more than one class/challenge so your hat fits All the Above Cool

...and just for you (and any other Slytherin not in the Back to Hogwarts swap, where I posted it)....

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Sorting Hat
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Ravenclaw Zipper Pull
Brief Description: Fun with Shrinky Dinks again. I made five Ravenclaw crest charms, each a little different, and some generic Hogwarts ones. I was given a blue windbreaker recently--not something I would have chosen myself, but it's okay--and my favorite Ravenclaw crest is becoming a zipper pull on it.

Sorry for the crummy picture. I'm kind of in a hurry. I hope to post some more photos of projects, if weather doesn't intervene (bad weather can affect owl delivery and other magical messaging systems), but I wanted to make sure I got the Sorting Hat one in.

Wow, Thanks Professor! I feel so much less of a slacker now, and I appreciate the "Summer Only" nature of the situation.

Pootermouth:Thanks for the kind comment! I am debating doing an HP themed tree, or sharing the love by gifting some of these wee bits to like-minded family/friends.... but the themed tree sure sounds cool... and they'll never know...
