Class: Quidditch, Cheering/Spirit
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Herbology Planter
Description: I decided to show my Hufflepuff House Spirit by turning a clear plastic container into a planter as the Hufflepuff Basement is the only common room that is decorated with vegetation Smiley I decorated it in my house colours with a frieze of rabbits (my magickal creature) along the bottom, and will be planting something in it very soon!

GO HUFFLEPUFF!!

The great projects just keep on coming! Everyone is really rocking this thread, I'm amazed by the creativity and the fun that everyone seems to be having.  Yay, Summer!

I finally managed to finish my Detention With Snape project, it's a knitted mouse hoodie baby blanket that has taken me forever. (Or so it feels.)  The baby was born a month ago, so I'm kinda behind schedule, but the weather has been hot as blazes so I would've felt silly giving the blanket to him yet anyway. Here it is:

Class: Detention with Snape
House: Slytherin
Project: Mouse Hooded baby blanket (knit)

Info:  This is double strand, softee baby acrylic in colors gray marl and flannel.  It measures about 30x30 and has a wee hood with a face stitched onto it to look like a little mouse. The ears are Crochet. I am putting it together with a strawberry shaped teether (It's actually a 'chocolate dipped strawberry' but was the cutest one I found) and the book The little Mouse, The Red, Ripe Strawberry and the Big Hungry Bear

Challenge:Quidditch Seeker
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Snitch pendant
Brief Description: Every gal needs her own snitch!  I made this one as a pendant that I originally hung on a charm dangle, but the more I look at it the more I think I will take it off the dangle and instead use a hook to make it an ornament.  The wings are rather delicate.

Class: Herbology
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Wee Wand Tree
Project Page Link:
Brief Description: The wand that chose me is made of fir, has a phoenix feather core, is 10 3/4" long, and unbending. I had trouble translating that into an assignment until today.

And since Hagrid has been terribly busy preparing for his Magical Creatures class he has given us a book about Phoenix Care. Apparently they like fir trees.

My original plan was to make the tree 10 3/4" high (I even wrote it on my hand) but I forgot until I was halfway through. Doh! Oh well, it is about 11 1/2 inches instead.

house: griffendor
class:quiditch/seeker
project: crochet bookmark

our church is collecting items for operation christmas child, you fill a shoe box with school supplies, toothbrushes, small toys, gifts for a child in need. since there are so many back to school sales, i picked up notebooks (muggles use them instead of rolls of parchment) and i'm making crochet book marks to include in them from my scrap yarn. it went pretty quickly so i might make washclothes as well.
